TMG Health Announces Retirement of Founder, President and CEO John (Jack) T. Tighe III
King of Prussia, PA (PRWEB) October 08, 2015 -- TMG Health today announced that Founder, President and CEO John (Jack) T. Tighe III will retire from the company in early 2016. Jack solely founded TMG Health in 1998 and has served as its President and CEO since the company’s inception. TMG Health is a wholly owned subsidiary of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), the largest customer-owned health insurer in the United States.
“There is never a perfect time for this type of transition, but I believe now is the right time,” noted Jack. “It is difficult to leave a company that is widely recognized as the leading national provider of technology and BPO solutions for government sponsored health plans. It has been an honor to nurture and grow TMG Health over the past 17 ½ years and a great privilege to work with an exceptionally dedicated and knowledgeable team of executives and associates at all levels. I have stated many times my belief that there is no greater collection of expertise across all government health programs than at TMG Health.”
TMG Health has grown to a company projected to realize $230 million in annual revenue in 2016, employ over 2,000 employees and service over 4.3 million client members with a premium equivalent in excess of $10 billion. TMG Health operates from four locations – King of Prussia, Jessup and Wexford in Pa. and Amarillo, Tex.
“Jack's entrepreneurial spirit is at the foundation of TMG Health's success. Given his experience in both health care and government, his vision and ability to motivate people, Jack has been the ideal CEO to grow and lead this company so successfully,” said James Kadela, TMG Health’s Board chairman. “On behalf of TMG Health’s management, associates and clients, I’d like to thank Jack for his commitment and leadership. TMG Health would not be what it is today without Jack Tighe.”
Since informing the TMG Health Board of Directors of his retirement, a leadership transition plan has been developed. As part of that plan, the Board will name Susan Rawlings Molina Interim President effective October 12, 2015. Susan is an experienced health care executive with extensive experience with government health programs; her experience includes senior leadership roles with Aetna, Anthem, Triple S Management and most recently as CEO of Florida HealthCare Plus.
