Melville, Long Island (PRWEB) December 03, 2015 -- More than 1,000 classic and exotic cars gathered in the parking lot of the Refuge restaurant on Sunday, November 15, for the Second Annual Run for the Blue, a fundraiser for the families of fallen NYPD officers. Attorney Bryan L. Salamone turned heads and opened countless eyes with his contribution: an appearance by his custom-built 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV wrapped in a chrome finish. Known as an Aventador “SuperVeloce,” it features a 740-horsepower engine. Salamone’s vehicle gets attention with its mirror-like finish. Bryan Salamone is the founder of Bryan L. Last year’s inaugural event, sponsored by the Long Island Exotics Club, raised more than $30,000 for the New York City Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, which maintains funds to support widows, widowers and orphans of slain officers. Organizers planned to raise at least $50,000 this year. So far in 2015, three NYPD officers suffered line of duty deaths: Detectives Randolph Holder and Brian Moore from gunshots and Deputy Chief Steven Bonano from 9/11 related illness. The money raised in this event will be distributed to families like theirs.

“Owning supercars is a passion of mine, but it is even better when I can use them to put a smile on people’s faces,” said Salamone. “Bringing my Aventador SV to rallies helps charities draw a crowd and raise money. There are few causes as important as supporting the police and their families.”
