SWEAT Fitness Announces January 11th Launch of SWEATX
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 08, 2016 -- SWEAT Fitness, Philadelphia’s premier fitness club with eight convenient locations throughout the region, is excited to announce the launch of their new SWEATX training program. SWEATX is a dynamic, small group-training program designed to take your athletic training to the next level and officially launches Monday, January 11th at 11am.
SWEATX classes are taught by SWEAT Fitness' elite X instructors and are customized for each participant’s fitness level and ability. What sets this program apart is that the classes are capped at ten participants allowing SWEATX Instructor and Director of Personal Training, Chris Harris and his team to oversee each class member’s progress. SWEATX classes incorporate the use of ropes, box jumps, kettle bells, ramps, barbells and interval training, as well as other strength training and power lifting exercises.
“The SWEATX program is based on maintaining a low client to instructor ratio and is one of our most important characteristics,” says President of SWEAT Fitness Tracy Shannon. “All participants in the class are taken through a guided warm-up, work on perfecting their form needed for the work out and then perform the workout of the day. Our instructors carefully coach each member through the correct form and are there to ensure the proper do’s and don’ts.”
Each class starts off with a dynamic warm-up and then progresses into the technique/strength portion, where 2-3 coaches per class keep a close eye on each participant. The technique/strength portion is then followed by intense metabolic conditioning whereby high intensity and high intensity interval training really gets the heart rate going. Classes always finish with a cool down and stretch.
The SWEATX approach is consistent with what is practiced in elite training programs associated with major university athletic teams and professional sports teams across the country. It is a fun, dynamic team/group workout environment. Workout fads such as CrossFit has endeavored to bring this type of coaching to the forefront of the fitness trend but have been under much scrutiny for their competitive culture sometimes leading to injuries in participants who do not get access to current technologies, research, coaching methods, and proper instruction.
“SWEATX instructors all have bachelor degrees in the related field or nationally recognized personal training certifications,” says Chris Harris, 105kg Olympic Weightlifter, N.A.S.M and S.P.A.R.T.A certified, B.S. Exercise Science, SWEATX Founder. “With these classes, members can expect to see changes to their body in a matter of weeks.”
SWEATX small group training classes are held at the SWEAT Fitness Queen Village location, located at 700 E. Passyunk Ave., Philadelphia, PA. Members of SWEATX pay $149 per month for unlimited access to all the SWEATX classes, which currently run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6am, 12noon, and 6pm with an additional 6am yoga class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. SWEATX membership also includes regular SWEAT Fitness gym membership allowing members access to all 8 SWEAT Fitness locations, personal training sessions, group fitness classes such as bar, yoga, zumba, cycling, body pump, and many more.
