Qualfon and Other BPOs Recognized for Dumaguete’s Ranking in Tholons Top 100 Outsourcing Destinations for 2016

As a new entrant on the list, the city of Dumaguete is currently ranked #93 and had never been recognized by Tholons International in this capacity until this year. “The BPO industry [in Dumaguete] has grown from only 150 call center agents in 2005 to over 9,000 agents now employed by Teletech, SPi Global, Student Universe, and Qualfon,” said Ed Du, President of NOCCI, as reported by the Visayan Daily Star newspaper. “After five years of continuous non-stop collaboration between the local government of Dumaguete and various national government agencies, business, academe and the ICT sector, it has finally made it to the Top 100 outsourcing destinations in the world, beating much bigger cities like Metro Clark, Baguio, and even Dubai,” he said.
