GORE® Aerospace HDMI 2.0 Cables Provide Higher Video Resolution for In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) within Civil Aerospace Applications
Pleinfeld, Germany (PRWEB) April 04, 2016 -- W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore) introduces GORE® Aerospace HDMI 2.0 Cables in response to advancements in modern airborne digital networks and passenger demand. These cables provide a higher resolution up to 4K at 50/60 (2160p), which is four times the clarity of 1080p/60 video resolution allowing passengers to experience in-flight entertainment (IFE) in high definition. They deliver excellent signal integrity for high-speed data transmission up to 18 Gigabit per second (Gbps) over longer distances. In addition, they maintain stable performance in challenging aerospace environments, including a wide range of temperatures.
GORE® Aerospace HDMI 2.0 Cables feature a unique cable jacket material and high-density construction that significantly reduces weight and diameter for improved installation. These smaller, lightweight cable bundles increase flexibility with a tighter bend radius making them easier to route in confined areas of an aircraft.
GORE® Aerospace HDMI 2.0 Cables complement Gore’s broad range of high-speed data cables, including Ethernet Cat5e and Cat6a, USB 3.1, high-performance quad, dual-gigabit, shielded twisted pair and fiber optics.
Typical applications for GORE® Aerospace HDMI 2.0 Cables include electronic flight bag (EFB), flight management systems, IFE systems, portable electronic devices and weather mapping.
GORE® Aerospace HDMI 2.0 Cables will be on display at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany on April 5-7, Booth 3C20. For more information, visit gore.com/electronics, or contact a Gore applications specialist at electronics(dot)usa(at)wlgore(dot)com.
