Palm Harbor, FL (PRWEB) September 06, 2016 -- Florida Hospital Physician Group (FHPG) is pleased to announce the addition of Norman Abbott, MD, FACC and John A. Forcella, Jr., DO to Florida Hospital Physician Group. As board certified and fellowship-trained cardiologists, Dr. Abbott and Dr. Forcella provide comprehensive cardiovascular care for patients, from diagnostics to interventional treatment.
Dr. Abbott is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic before completing his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Medical Center in Staten Island, New York. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship in Cardiology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He established the Palms Heart Center in 1987 and has served the North Pinellas community for nearly 30 years. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Cardiology at Florida Hospital North Pinellas and is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee.
Dr. Forcella is board certified in cardiology, interventional cardiology and internal medicine. He earned his degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida before completing his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida. Following his residency at Largo Medical Center, he went on to complete two fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is a native of Tarpon Springs and returned to serve the community that raised him.
