EduMind Revamps PMP Prep Course to Accommodate Exam Changes
DUBLIN, Ohio (PRWEB) December 12, 2017 -- In March of 2018, Project Management Institute (PMI)® is changing the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam. The PMP exam changes will be based on A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) - Sixth Edition.
EduMind, a worldwide provider of test prep courses, is preparing its PMP courses to reflect the changes to the exam. EduMind has been reviewed and approved as a provider of project management training by PMI.
According to PMI’s website, the PMBOK® Guide - Sixth Edition will include a new section that will cover the roles of a project manager, and each knowledge area will include four new sections. The new sections are key concepts, trends and emerging practices, tailoring considerations and considerations for agile/adaptive environments.
“We have been monitoring PMI's website ever since it was announced that the exam would be changing,” said Chris Miller, EduMind’s PMP program director.
“We have revamped our notes to match the PMBOK® Guide- Sixth Edition as well as to address the newer material that will be covered on the PMP exam,” said Miller. “We created some new test questions, quizzes and exercises that will help students prepare for the exam.”
According to Miller, obtaining PMP certification helps individuals stand out in their industry.
“One of the nice things about PMP certification is that it fits any industry- anything from IT to hospitality; it is a globally-recognized certification,” Miller said.
Not only can the certification help individuals stand out in their industry, but “it has been proven that salary increases are substantial for those who have obtained their PMP,” Miller said.
In order to sit for the PMP exam, applicants who have a bachelor’s degree are required to obtain 35 hours of project management education as well as 4,500 hours of directing or leading projects.
In addition to providing students with PMP exam preparation, EduMind provides assistance with exam applications.
To assist project managers who will be applying to take the updated PMP exam, EduMind will release its revamped PMP course at the beginning of March 2018. These classes will be offered via EduMind’s Live Online learning format.
Live Online courses are instructor-led classes that are taken online at a scheduled time. These classes are recorded, and the recordings are made available for students to review after each class.
With a Live Online class, EduMind’s instructors are also available to answer questions even after the class has ended.
For project managers who want to take the exam before it changes in March, it is not too late to register for an exam preparation course with EduMind. EduMind is offering both Ondemand and Live Online courses that correspond with the PMBOK® Guide - Fifth Edition until March 2018.
Ondemand courses are recorded lectures that allow students to begin their learning experience immediately and on their own schedule.
