World-Renowned Kohler Waters Spa Announces 2018 Expansion
KOHLER, Wis. (PRWEB) December 15, 2017 -- Kohler Waters Spa, one of only 56 Forbes Five-Star spas in the world and an industry leader in hydrotherapy, proudly announces expansion plans for 2018 at its flagship location at the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond Destination Kohler. The exciting renovations will include nine new treatment rooms, expansive common space with additional seating around the spa’s prominent relaxation pool and a luxurious bridal suite. The spa will remain open throughout the entire construction process, which will take place from February through June 2018.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our internationally acclaimed spa to cater to both our loyal guests and a new group of travelers,” said Garrett Mersberger, Director of Wellness, Kohler Co. “In order to better accommodate our growing guest interest, we were motivated to add treatment rooms and space in the common areas. We’ve also noticed a trend in larger bridal parties and girlfriend getaway trips, and wanted to provide a special space where these parties can relax and enjoy their time together.”
The expansion will be completed in two separate phases; the first of which will be carried out from February through March. During this time, the spa offices will be moved to the Appley Theatre at The American Club, which will allow for the inclusion of two treatment rooms for guests to enjoy with a friend or loved one, as well as nine new treatments rooms designed for massage and salon offerings, resulting in a net gain of five new rooms. Additionally, a new café designated specifically for spa-goers will be constructed and outfitted with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The second phase will take place from April to May, during which the existing rooms surrounding the relaxation pool will be removed. The relocation of these rooms will provide additional seating around the relaxation pool, which remains as the most popular co-ed communal area for guests. A formal bridal suite will also be constructed, featuring a beautifully lit room with ample space for larger parties. The completed expansion will be commemorated with the roll out of a new, innovative spa menu, launching on June 1; also available at Burr Ridge, Ill., and Kohler Co.’s newest property, LODGE KOHLER in Green Bay, Wis.
The spa’s expansion comes on the heels of the announcement of The American Club’s 2018 renovations, which will begin on January 2. The renovations include a revamped underground and aboveground parking structure and improvements to The American Club’s historical building, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2018. The main building, restaurants and shops within will be closed from January 2-31, opening exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays throughout February and March, with all operations expected to reopen on April 1. Overnight rooms will be available throughout the week in the main building, while the guest entrance will remain on the west side until mid to late June 2018 at the completion of the renovations. The expansion and renovations further showcase the brand’s dedication to implementing a guest-focused destination worthy of its international acclaim.
