Author Kay Bretton’s Newly Released “The Rich Man's Sons” Is an Entertaining Story That Teaches Young Readers the Hazards of Greed and the Value of Forgiveness
(PRWEB) January 15, 2018 -- “The Rich Man's Sons”: a story about the hazards of greed and the importance of forgiveness. “The Rich Man's Sons” is the creation of published author, Kay Bretton. Kay was born and raised in Northwestern Pennsylvania. She graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science in elementary education. She later received a master’s in counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. She has resided in South Florida for most of her adult life where she has worked with children, teens, and adults in a variety of educational and counseling settings. Kay has always had an interest in writing. She feels it is important for children to read stories that reinforce Christian principles and values. Because she believes that rhyming and humor greatly assist in the process of committing things to memory, she has chosen the same format for her stories.
“Part silly and totally serious, ‘The Rich Man's Sons’ is a story for young and old regarding the lessons of rebellion and forgiveness. It is written to remind all of God's constant love, mercy, and grace and His desire for communion. This is a modern-day story of the prodigal son, his unforgiving brother, and his loving father following closely the scriptural passage of Luke 15:11–31.” --Kay Bretton
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Kay Bretton’s new book is a modern adaption of the prodigal son.
Closely following the scriptural narrative, “The Rich Man's Sons” shares a modern story about a young boy whose rebellion and greed lead to his ruin. Written as a poetic narrative, this entertaining, yet serious, story teaches young readers the hazards of greed and the need to forgive.
