Each year, the Sisters of Notre Dame (SND) host a 1 mile and 5k run and community service fair for members of Thousand Oaks, CA, and the surrounding areas. Proceeds from participants and sponsors go to support the SND Life & Ministry Fund, which provides spiritual, educational, and social outreach to the local communities and around the world. This year was the first the SND handed out team awards, including medals for largest team and most spirited team in friends/family, school/church, and corporate team categories. Participants received a race shirt, a participation medal, a post-run pancake breakfast, and a chance to attend the community service fair.
