Company will expand the service shops in Somonauk and Hampshire, providing greater space than the current Elburn shop with additional space to accommodate more service technicians.
CHAMPAIGN, Ill., June 13, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In February of 2022, AHW acquired the four Buck Brothers John Deere dealerships in Hampshire, Harvard, Libertyville, and Wauconda, IL. After much consideration, it became clear a consolidation of facilities could enable AHW to provide greater service capacity to the area. AHW is excited to announce plans for this transition.
The current AHW location in Elburn, IL will be closing on December 31, 2022. Our employees, along with our inventories and service equipment will be moving to the Hampshire and Somonauk locations. Plans are currently underway to continue providing service to the Elburn area in new and exciting ways.
AHW is expanding the service shops in Somonauk and Hampshire, which will provide greater space than the current Elburn shop, giving us 3150 additional square feet of space to accommodate more service technicians.
In addition, 2 new mobile service trucks have been ordered and will be equipped to provide at-home breakdown service or routine maintenance service to Elburn and the surrounding communities. This includes the popular Snow-to-Mow and Mow-to-Snow services. "More customers are asking for on-site service than ever before," says Chad Braden, COO of AHW, LLC. "Much of this demand has been driven by the Covid-19 pandemic and the customers' desire for convenience."
Along the same lines, AHW will be utilizing centralized dispatch for pick-up and delivery service to add efficiency and enhance customer service.
Connecting through a "digital storefront" is the new way of providing sales and service. "We are enhancing our online capabilities for customers who desire a virtual or remote experience and prefer goods and services to be delivered to their doorstep or driveway," said Braden. "We are also increasing our capacity for outside sales representatives, for customers who want to work with a sales representative in person at their own property."
These investments in facilities, employees, and equipment are intended to give AHW greater overall capacity to serve customers. "Our objective is to provide a better customer experience from two nearby facilities each with enhanced capability, overcoming the limited capacity challenge with our current location at Elburn," Braden says.
Over the past ten years, AHW has become one of the strongest and best-resourced John Deere implement dealers in the Midwest. The company will now have a total of nineteen locations, including the Solution Center in Champaign, Illinois, serving Illinois and western Indiana. https://www.ahwllc.com/
