WASHINGTON, Oct. 3, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CGTN America releases "CGTN America Hosts Panel Discussion, Closing Reception at NATPE Streaming+"
CGTN America has partnered with the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) for its fourth annual NATPE Streaming+ conference at the W Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles. The one-day event featured industry heavyweights and decision makers producing and distributing premium streaming content to viewers globally.
Executives from CGTN America took to the stage for the panel 'Food for Thought', which highlighted the network's most engaging content – documentaries ranging from sustainability to Chinese cuisine in the United States.
Jiang Heping, President of CGTN America, said, "The CGTN America team has adopted a digital-first strategy and paid more attention to media integration. We are committed to producing high-quality programming for both big screen and small screen, and distributing across all platforms."
The panel was moderated by Mike Walter, the network's Principal News Anchor and Host of Full Frame, and joined by Humberto Duran, Director of Feature Programming, Gerald Tan, Host of the award-winning show Tso'l Food, as well as NBA legend Robert Horry.
Among the topics covered was CGTN America's Global Action Initiative (GAI), an annual forum which showcases the planet's most pressing issues while promoting actions and solutions. With sustainability as this year's theme, Zhang Xin, CGTN America's Executive Vice President, expanded on the network's motto. "Our mission now is no longer just 'see the difference'. We want to connect with people and make a difference," she said.
CGTN America is working with the National Basketball Association to highlight sustainable practices. Horry rounded up the panel, reflecting not only his experiences playing in China and his passion for Chinese cuisine, but also ways the NBA is trying to make the game greener. Horry said, "Sports brings so many cultures together, and because our platform is huge, the NBA family tries to pass along the message of the footprint that we leave."
CGTN America also hosted the NATPE Streaming+ closing reception 'Tso'l Food After-Party' at the venue. The network collaborated with celebrated Chef Ming from NOVA Kitchen & Bar, treating guests a live cooking demonstration of the popular Sichuan dish dan dan noodles.
JP Bommel, President & CEO of NATPE, hailed the partnership with CGTN America in his address, saying, "We share a vision of educating, connecting and providing insight to our community."
