Collection Distributed to Long Island Area Food Banks During the Holiday Season to Help Residents Experiencing Food Insecurity
FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Jan. 17, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- NutraScience Labs, a leading provider of dietary supplement manufacturing services headquartered in Farmingdale, New York, today announced the company donated more than 650 pounds of non-perishable items to Island Harvest Food Bank, the largest hunger-relief organization that serves the Long Island community.
It is the ninth consecutive year the employees at NutraScience Labs have joined together to collect essential items, including bottled water, canned food, and baby products, donating more than 15,000 pounds of goods to the organization throughout the years. This year's donation will also supplement hundreds of meals for Long Islanders utilizing 570 food pantries and soup kitchens.
