Stecker Machine Company Celebrates 50 Years of Success, Thanks Community for Support
Manitowoc, WI (PRWEB) July 12, 2023 -- Stecker Machine Company, a family-owned CNC machine shop with 265+ employees, is celebrating 50 years of business success in 2023.
What began as a tool and die shop in a garage has grown into a world-class shop with two facilities and 316,000 square feet of total space in southern Manitowoc County, near the Town of Newton.
Jerry Stecker, who started the company with his brother Charles, reflects on the accomplishment. “It’s a classic American story of hard work and long-term success. I love that our CNC machine shop took on tough projects, has grown despite challenges, and continues to thrive throughout this remarkable journey,” Jerry says.
Honored as a 2022 Top Shop by the editors of Modern Machine Shop, Stecker Machine uses best-in-class CNC manufacturing and state-of-the-art robots to create custom-machined parts from metal castings, primarily aluminum and iron. Stecker Machine meets customers’ needs with incredible accuracy, reliable consistency, and efficient process cycle times.
“We couldn’t be more proud of this milestone. I’m thankful for having built strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees,” says Jerry, who transferred leadership of the company to Brian Stecker and Brad Kurtzweil in 2015.
“Jerry did a great job of setting us up to be successful,” says Brad. “What we’re now doing is building upon a phenomenal base.”
“We’ve followed Jerry’s early business strategies: focus on solving customers’ needs, don’t back down from a challenge, reinvest back into the company (both through technology and people), and put a priority on company culture,” Brian says.
“Without question, our employees make Stecker Machine who we are,” Brian adds. “None of our success happens without dedicated, passionate people. We all contribute to a working environment where they can grow and succeed.”
That philosophy has resulted in consistent growth over the decades, with many team members remaining with Stecker Machine while other manufacturers experienced a lot of turnover. “We’re always looking for people who are the right fit for Stecker Machine,” Brad says.
“We’re also incredibly thankful for the people of Manitowoc County, especially the Town of Newton,” Brad says. “It’s important for us to support the community, whether it’s the local fire departments, first responders, or even the little league baseball team. It’s a win-win for Stecker and the community.”
“We’ll take a moment to enjoy this momentous accomplishment. Then, we’ll get right back to growing and expanding our machining capabilities without sacrificing quality or our core values that have made us successful,” Brad says.
Brian adds, “We’re coming off a record year in sales, and the future looks bright for Stecker Machine. It’s awesome we made it this far, and we look forward to another fifty.”
