NEW YORK, Feb. 8, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TuneCore, the leading development partner for self-releasing artists—owned by Believe, one of the world's leading digital music companies—has promoted Dipanjan Kolay to Vice President of Product, and Erica Clayton to Vice President, Artist Support & Operations. Kolay and Clayton will report to Alisha Outridge, Chief Technology and Product Officer of TuneCore.
Outridge commented, "Erica and Dipanjan have both played instrumental roles in the expansion of TuneCore's products and services, with Dipanjan driving innovation and providing top of the line features to meet our artists' needs, and Erica working to ensure that our artists are treated with the highest level of care and support. I'm confident that their respective teams will thrive under their leadership."
In his new role, Kolay will oversee the strategy and advancement of all products on behalf of TuneCore, overseeing the product management team and working alongside the engineering team to conceive and deliver features supporting the needs of TuneCore artists. Previously, Dipanjan served as Product Director - Customer Finance where he led the team for Customer Finance and E-Commerce, managing projects within the company's revenue management umbrella, including areas like compliance, global taxation and revenue accounting. Standout product initiatives helmed by Kolay include the rollout of TuneCore's UNLIMITED pricing model and the development of a new UX for the TuneCore artist dashboard.
Kolay joined TuneCore in 2020 after working at Oracle for more than 11 years, holding various positions including Engagement Lead, Consulting Architect and Product Owner. Prior to that, he worked at Convergys (now Netcracker) as a Billing Architect for 4 years.
Kolay commented, "Working on Product at TuneCore has been extraordinarily rewarding. Whether we're dealing with complex analysis of royalty payouts, TuneCore's continued global expansion, or working to stay on the cutting edge of a dynamic digital music industry, our Product team's core focus is to provide artists with the services most suited to support them in their careers."
As Vice President, Artist Support & Operations, Clayton will oversee all of TuneCore's Artist Support teams, with offices spread across New York, Nashville, Paris, Mexico City and Mumbai, as well as TuneCore's Operations teams encompassing Content Review, Fraud Prevention, Copyright Administration, and Video Rights, to provide a seamless, high-quality customer experience. Clayton will also continue to work closely with TuneCore's Product team to execute strategies that support the company's goals of operational excellence.
Since joining TuneCore in 2019 as Director, Artist Support, Clayton has transformed the company's Artist Support department into an industry leader by identifying processes and operational efficiency opportunities to improve the customer experience and increase customer satisfaction.
Clayton commented, "I'm stoked to bring TuneCore's Operations team into my orbit after working with the Artist Support team during such a transformative time in TuneCore's history. Since I joined the company in late 2019, we've completely overhauled the client experience and today, we're among the best in our industry. I'm looking forward to doing the same thing with our Operations team, and continuing to take major steps forward with TuneCore artists at the forefront of our minds every step of the way."
Prior to joining TuneCore, Clayton held multiple support management positions including User Support Manager at Paperless Post and a Customer Service and Quality Manager at Shapeways.
