Bob Evans Restaurants Announces Third Annual Fundraiser and Fundraising Milestone Supporting Future Generation of American Farmers
$1 from every Farmer's Choice Breakfast during "Egg Crack, Give Back" promotion on February 23 supports agricultural education*
NEW ALBANY, Ohio, Feb. 15, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Bob Evans Restaurants is proud to announce the return of their annual "Egg Crack, Give Back" fundraiser supporting agricultural education and innovation among America's future farmers. For every Farmer's Choice Breakfast ordered at participating locations** on February 23, Bob Evans will donate $1 to the National FFA Organization (FFA), up to $15,000.*
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help underwrite Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Grants that give FFA students critical hands-on learning opportunities ranging from agricultural internships and entrepreneurship opportunities to research experience. The "Egg Crack, Give Back" fundraiser is an extension of Bob Evans partnership with the FFA, paying homage to founder Bob Evans, his roots in the farming community and his passion for inspiring agricultural leaders for future generations.
An important milestone in supporting agricultural education:
This year signifies an important fundraising milestone as Bob Evans has now donated $60,000 to FFA organizations both nationally and locally through the annual "Egg Crack, Give Back" fundraiser, Bob Evan's Farm Fest and other events throughout the year. Since the partnership started in 2020, Bob Evans and FFA have remained steadfast in their commitment to helping grow the agricultural community.
"Serving others is at the center of everything we do, and being in a position to continue this fundraiser for a third year, not only to inspire future generations but also get our local customers involved in doing so, holds a great deal of meaning for us at Bob Evans," said Bob Holtcamp, President and CMO for Bob Evans Restaurants. "Taking a step back and watching how the proceeds from this event help students, and more specifically, fund their SAE Grants through the FFA partnership, is one of the highlights of our year at Bob Evans. We take great pride in witnessing the growth of students throughout the nation and the agricultural community as a whole every year."
Farm fresh breakfast to support future farmers:
The hero of the "Egg Crack, Give Back" fundraiser is Bob Evans' Farmer's Choice Breakfast. A mix of the morning's greatest hits from the home of America's Farm Fresh, the Farmer's Choice Breakfast includes one of two sweet griddled options, hotcakes or Brioche French toast, as well as two eggs cooked-to-order, your favorite savory breakfast meat and choice of hash browns, home fries or fresh-cut fruit. Other varieties of the Farmer's Choice Breakfast, such as The Double Meat Farmer, Homestead Farmer and Banana Berry Farmer, also qualify for the fundraising event.
National FFA Week shines a light on future generations of American farmers:
The "Egg Crack, Give Back" promotion also coincides with "Give FFA Day" on February 23, a 24-hour fundraising campaign held during National FFA Week (February 18-25, 2023). National FFA Week helps spread awareness about the mission of FFA, its impact on the education of middle and high school students across the country, and ultimately acts as one of the backbones for careers in science, business and agriculture technology.
