Richard J. Buckley joins the vcfo team as a Consulting CFO for the Austin market.
AUSTIN, Texas, April 10, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Richard is a highly accomplished consulting CFO, overseeing finance, operations, and administration in areas such as domestic and international manufacturing and distribution, retail, healthcare, nonprofit, and service companies worth from $2M to $25B. He provides exceptional leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Richard started in the mail room at Exxon, taking night classes to earn his degree in accounting. After he graduated, he went to work as an audit manager for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte). He earned his CPA license and was promoted twice in four years.
He has worked as audit manager and controller for topline public (SEC) companies such as American Home Products, Estée Lauder, Quaker State, and GTE. Richard also worked for nearly a decade with private equity and family office companies in Dallas, including ClubCorp, where he served as director and internal audit and division controller for the luxury homes division, and AG Hill Companies / Hunt Petroleum Corporation, where he was the VP of finance and controller. There he implemented financial and administrative structures to manage $4B+ in business and fund investments.
Starting in 2008, he went to work in private equity and consulting. He served as CFO for H2X LLC and president and CFO for Conch / Druid Oilfield Services. From 2016 to 2022, he was the CFO and CAO for the healthcare nonprofit Metrocare Services, a $100M+ public agency that had been approaching insolvency and that he restored to profitability and positive cash flow within one year.
