‘Walk in the Steps of History’ With New Fiction Novel
Wapakoneta, Ohio (PRWEB) May 21, 2014 -- Anne Magdalene (Maria) Adelheit Siemer Wübbenhorst left her native Germany and everything she knew to start a new life in America. As her journey brought her to the states, she settled in midwestern Ohio.
In the new book by author Kathi (Wuebbenhorst) Overley, ” Walk in the Steps of History” (published by WestBow Press), Overley imagines herself in her grandmother Maria Wübbenhorst’s shoes as she took the plunge into a new life in the United States.
As a blend of fictional events and genealogical research, Overley’s new book attempts to fill in the blanks of her grandmother’s life story while providing an entertaining read.
“So many books are based on families moving west into the Louisiana Territory and California,” Overley says. “In the early 1800s, ‘the west’ was Ohio and Indiana. This history-based book describes events of many of our forefathers whom developed Ohio.”
“Walk in the Steps of History” aims to educate readers about the hardships their ancestors endured to provide a prosperous American future.
