About the author
Martin Markinson owned and operated the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway from 1979 until its sale in 2015. Markinson also operated the Wadsworth and Brentwood Theatres in Los Angeles and the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He has produced more than 40 plays and musicals since 1975 for Broadway and throughout the U.S., and he has produced two movies in Hollywood. Markinson currently splits his time between homes in Santa Fe, N.M., and Maui, Hawaii, with his wife of 56 years, Arlena.
