Adolfson & Peterson Construction Hosts Charity Golf Classic Benefitting Veterans and At-Risk Youth
Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) hosted its fourth annual Charity Golf Classic at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine on March 29, 2019, with proceeds going to The Dallas Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC), James L. West, One Heart, Seal Legacy Foundation and Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA). The sold-out tournament was focused on raising funds to support veterans, at-risk youth, those suffering from Alzheimer's disease and families in need of organ and tissue donors.
GRAPEVINE, Texas, April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Over the last year, AP has also been involved with The Salvation Army, Toys for Tots and many other efforts to assist non-profit organizations in our community.
Over 140 golfers took to the course for the 8:00am shotgun start of the scramble tournament followed by an awards luncheon and raffle. Through various sponsorship and individual donations, AP was able to secure sizeable donations which will help provide financial assistance to support veterans and youth in our communities. AP will be scheduling individual ceremonies with each benefactor in the coming weeks to make official donations to these organizations. In just three years, the AP Charity Golf Classic has raised over $300,000 with all funds going directly to local charities.
"AP's mission is to bring a positive, measurable change to communities where we live and build, which is partly accomplished through contributions made from this event," said Corbett Nichter, Regional President with AP. "This tournament is a great way for our clients and vendor partners to assist with giving back to our communities, while enjoying a day of golf at one of Dallas' top-rated courses. Our event continues to gain support year after year, and we are proud of our industry partners coming together all in the name of charity."
