After a Successful Campaign on Kickstarter, Crowdfunding for the Elegant and Functional Terrarium and Table Planter Box 'BloomingTables' Continues on Indiegogo InDemand
Backers exceed Kickstarter goal to invest more than $33,000 in the living table that provides homeowners, especially in urban environs, a seamless way to showcase their indoor plants while saving space and purifying the air
SAN DIEGO, Aug. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After surpassing its goal and raising more than $33,000 on Kickstarter, crowdfunding for the elegant and functional combination of a terrarium and table planter box 'BloomingTables' continues on Indiegogo InDemand.
"We appreciate the response we've had to BloomingTables so far on Kickstarter, and expect we'll reach more plant-loving backers on Indiegogo," said BloomingTables Founder and CEO Dustin Anthony. "For those looking for innovative ways to bring more plants indoors, especially people living in a downtown urban environment, BloomingTables offers a perfect solution."
Described as "a genius solution that allows you to seamlessly bring the beauty of the outdoors indoors" by MyModernMet, BloomingTables is a "terrarium table" that combines a table and a planter box to allow users to house beautiful succulents in their homes.
An acrylic tub sits within the liner of the box to protect both the table and the floor from water. To protect against over watering, users simply place a small later of rocks, followed by activated charcoal, then add the soil and plants. Although the table is designed to fit under a windowsill, it can also be situated with a lamp with an incandescent light blub on or near the table to supplement sunlight.
Anthony said that the company is also adding a drain valve feature, which will sit underneath table – allowing consumers to showcase a wider range of species.
"Where succulents only need to be watered about every 10 days, some species do require daily watering," he said. "Implementing this drain valve will prevent against over watering your BloomingTable - ultimately ensuring a healthy environment for all of your plants."
In addition to purifying the inside air, indoor plants indoors also offer wellness benefits. An article in Psychology Today says that plants have been shown to:
- Lower blood pressure (systolic)
- Improve reaction times
- Increase attentiveness
- Improve attendance (at work and school)
- Raise productivity (at work)
- Improve well-being
- Improve perceptions of the space
- Lower levels of anxiety during recovery from surgery
- Raise job satisfaction
BloomingTables' creators teamed with an industry leader for product launch, working with Aqua Design Innovator's (ADI) – which previously launched several successful crowdfunding campaigns.
