For the debut episode, the series host Rudy Jay visits the U.S. Air Force Academy, which provides world-class education and training to over 4,000 cadets and staff. While there Rudy Jay learns about the Wings of Blue, the Academy's elite parachute team, hits a few rounds of golf with Theo Gregory, Golf Course Director and gets a variety of lunch recommendations while talking with instructors and cadets.
At the Academy, the top of the list for best places to eat is the Eisenhower Golf Club. It is a premier destination for cadets, faculty, and visitors alike, offers stunning views and a full lunch menu that spans healthy and pub-style options. The "Base Bites" crew talks with Chef Mary Duke to learn about their standout prime rib, she serves up some top recommendations for Rudy Jay including the much talked about fish and chips and crispy chicken wings, giving The Academy his 'clean grease' stamp of approval! While the adjacent golf course serves up over 65,000 rounds of golf each year, the grill is prepared to service golf players, hosts weddings, retirement ceremonies, and private events.
