Alitheon's FeaturePrint® technology is an advanced Optical-AI that "fingerprints" items with just one photo. These "digital fingerprints" then allow users to identify, authenticate, and trace individual products.
FeaturePrint is a patent-protected solution that focuses on and identifies the items themselves without any additives, such as QR codes or NFC tags, which makes it impossible to tamper with, and adds an irrefutable layer of protection like no other. FeaturePrint "sees" and converts the minute surface details of each physical item into a unique mathematical identity for that individual item, the one out of the many, thus like a human's fingerprint, identifies it specifically.
The first step is to take a picture of an item as-is with an off-the-shelf camera including mobile phones. FeaturePrint's algorithms will then automatically identify and codify the unique attributes and features inherently existing on the surface of the item. It then creates its one-of-a-kind FeaturePrint – similar to a digital fingerprint – and the integrity of the match is preserved. The original image is no longer required.
The solution supports Industry 4.0 and Web 3.0, and its capabilities deploy quickly, fitting into physical, cloud and data architectures.
