KENSINGTON, N.H., Sept. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation Honors Doc Hendley with Alnoba Moral Courage in Leadership Award
The Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation, an advocate for social justice, announced that the 2022 recipient of the Alnoba Moral Courage in Leadership Award is Doc Hendley, Founder of Wine to Water.
Hendley will accept the award at the Alnoba Environmental Leadership Awards Dinner on October 19, 2022, at Alnoba in Kensington, New Hampshire. The award includes a $10,000 donation to the nonprofit of Hendley's choice.
The Alnoba Moral Courage in Leadership Award is presented to a visionary leader whose body of work, vision, passion and personal example have made a meaningful and measurable difference. The award is bestowed on one who has shown moral courage and willingness to go the distance to help save our planet.
Doc Hendley first envisioned the concept of Wine to Water while tending bar and playing music. He started to raise money and six months later he was in Darfur, Sudan, installing water systems for victims of genocide. Since then, Doc and his team have worked to bring clean water to people in 50 countries.
"We honor Doc for his extraordinary work helping over 1.4 million people gain access to cleaner, safer sources of water," said Harriet and Alan E. Lewis, Co-Founders of Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation.
Harriet and Alan E. Lewis launched the Alnoba Environmental Leadership Awards in 2018 to honor brave and brilliant leaders whose courage, wisdom or potential inspire us.
