Rich Henderson shared that to create a product listing on Amazon, sellers must first create an account on Amazon's Seller Central. Before Henderson dove into explaining the steps for creating an optimized product listing he discussed why it is imperative that sellers on Amazon create optimized product listings.
Rich Henderson, creator of Amazing Selling Machine, reviewed one ASM member's story of increasing revenue by optimizing their product listing. Henderson explained the most essential elements of an Amazon product listing are the image and title. The image and title are the elements that attract a potential customer in to the product listing. Henderson explained that when a seller creates a product listing, they should have a good idea of what their main keywords are. This is as simple as understanding the key phrases a customer might search to find their product. Henderson explained that these keywords should be embedded throughout the product listing's bullet points and description.
Henderson revealed that product listings that are created without intent are not going to deliver results. Henderson continued, "This is actually where most sellers fail, because they do not take the time to optimize their listing and it is something that is simple to do and can provide amazing results. So, when it comes to generating quick sales for your product, you absolutely must pay attention to a few critical things in your listing."
