ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 27, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- American Horticultural Society Hosts 2021 Virtual Garden Market
To celebrate the arrival of spring and the joy of gardening, we are pleased to invite you to the American Horticultural Society's (AHS) 2021 Virtual Garden Market, open now through May 3 and again on October 4–11, 2021. The Virtual Garden Market features a curated group of specialty vendors offering garden-themed products and services for our virtual community of passionate gardeners and AHS members.
We believe that this event will provide a much-needed dose of spring inspiration to our broad community of gardeners who understand the important role of plants and gardens in our daily lives.
Our goal is to bring together our AHS members and friends with the gardening businesses that support them, creating special opportunities for our members, sponsors, and vendor friends alike. A portion of each sale will go to AHS to help support our national educational programs.
In addition to this virtual marketplace of gardening goods and services, ranging from tools, plants, seeds, professional design services, books and botanical products, participants in the Garden Market will be able to hear speakers on videos and podcasts discussing a wide range of gardening topics. Other offerings include a fabulous botanical-themed art show.
The virtual market will be back in October 2021 for a Fall sale with new and returning vendors, and speakers with live spots on Facebook and Instagram stories. Featured speakers will discuss a wide range of gardening topics, ranging from planting tips and garden-style flower arranging to inspiring ideas for garden entertaining. The event will also offer a garden-themed silent auction, where guests can bid on exciting items, including garden tours, DIY workshops, gift baskets, and other garden-themed goods.

About AHS:
The American Horticultural Society (AHS), founded in 1922, is an educational, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that recognizes and promotes excellence in American horticulture. One of the most longstanding and respected national gardening organizations, we are dedicated to making America "a land of sustainable gardens, cultivated by a diverse population with a common passion for plants." Our mission is to share with all Americans the critical role of plants, gardens, and green spaces in creating healthy, livable communities and a sustainable planet.
AHS strives to model, educate about, and advocate for earth-friendly and sustainable gardening practices. The wildlife garden at our River Farm headquarters is a Certified Wildlife Habitat®, providing food and shelter for vital pollinators like birds, bees, and butterflies. We also shine a spotlight on ways to minimize the environmental impacts of gardening through our magazine, educational programs, and gardening resources. We're a trusted authority and respected source for scientifically-based horticultural information and expertise. We do this by connecting people in regions across the nation with trained county extension agents and by highlighting the achievements of leading horticulture practitioners who exemplify excellence and innovation in the field though our Great American Gardeners Awards.
