SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- San Francisco's first secular Meditation Studio opens a Pop-Up location during the Holidays this year. Anchor Meditation, which began offering public classes in February 2018, originated as a friends' gathering to find mindfulness and has since grown to a thriving community of meditation practitioners seeking stillness from the demands of day to day life. From November 2018 through January 2019, visitors can join Anchor Meditation in their new temporary space, located at 2118 Union St., in San Francisco's Marina District, and explore easy to access meditation practices for improving overall happiness and wellness, amid the city's seemingly inescapable hustle and bustle.
"On my 40th birthday, I attended a meditation retreat and learned how to incorporate a meditation practice in my life. After experiencing the life changing benefits of continuing to implement these techniques on a daily basis, once I was back at home with with my husband, two kids and our dog, I searched to find a space to further expand my exploration of this ancient, mindful tool in an easy to access secular setting," says Kelly Ryan, Founder of Anchor Meditation. "This search lead me to start Anchor Meditation studio, sharing the power of regular practice and offering a safe space to explore meditation together as a community."
The three month Pop-Up calendar for Anchor Meditation includes a robust schedule of exciting collaborations with innovators and partners such as wellness social media rock star, Davida Kugelmass, founder of The Healthy Maven; sound immersion master, Danny Goldberg; and a Breast Cancer awareness collaboration with HealthKick. On Sunday October 28th Anchor Meditation will host an Open House to the public with special guest Rashia Bell, Co-Founder of The Cristalline, and offer two free classes at 9am and 5:30pm. In addition to workshops, a variety of meditation classes will be offered including sound bath, breathwork, guided meditation, reiki, bynoral beats, and meditation for beginners.
"At Anchor Meditation we believe in 'humans being' versus 'humans doing' and when we slow down with meditation, life becomes full of beauty," says Kay Ellis Co-Founder of Anchor Meditation. "Together with our partners Sand Symes, and Dan Petrie, we are excited to expand the San Francisco Bay Area meditation offering and create more opportunity and space for mindfulness to impact our community the way it's power has positively impacted our lives."
