LOS ANGELES, Oct. 28, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- John Giaccotto, founder of Pinpoint Digital, LLC (pinpointdigital.com) and father of 3 young children, has created an at-home interactive Halloween audio experience for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant called "The Mystery of Candy Hollow."
Children can now travel to Candy Hollow to solve a Halloween mystery, knocking on doors and interacting with a fun cast of characters—all from the safety of home. Primarily geared towards children in elementary school, "The Mystery of Candy Hollow" encourages parents to have treats at the ready, so that kids can simulate the trick or treating experience as they virtually knock on doors during the adventure.
Giaccotto says: "I know many parents are trying to figure out how to entertain their kids this Halloween. My wife and I felt we had to do something different this year, while still making the holiday special."
Giaccotto partnered with two screenwriters—Maggie Lane and Margarita Rozenbaoum—to help create an interactive story. Rozenbaoum and Lane have a background in technology and immersive storytelling and instantly saw the appeal of an at-home trick or treating experience: "We combined old tech (audio-based storytelling) with new tech (virtual assistants) to craft a Halloween adventure that will be fun for kids—and kids at heart."
"The Mystery of Candy Hollow" can be opened on Amazon Alexa by saying, "Alexa, open Halloween Trick or Treating Mystery" or on Google Assistant by saying, "Hey Google, Talk to Halloween Trick or Treating Mystery." You don't need to have a physical Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device to enjoy the experience -- you can simply download one of the apps onto your phone and play using the voice or text feature. It is currently only available for users in the United States.
