AtlanticProCare announces new scholarship for Maine amputees, scoliosis patients
PORTLAND, Maine, Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- AtlanticProCare, New England's leading provider of customized mobility solutions for amputees, has announced that it will provide a new scholarship opportunity for Maine students who are amputees or are being treated for scoliosis.
The scholarship will provide $1000 for secondary education, and will be open to any amputee or scoliosis patient who is a legal resident in the state of Maine and who has been accepted full time at an accredited two- or four-year college in the US. The application can be found at http://www.atlanticprocare.com/scholarship. The application deadline for fall of 2019 is May 3, 2019.

To be considered for the scholarship, an applicant must be a medically documented upper- or lower-extremity amputee or be diagnosed with scoliosis. Applicants will also be asked to describe what they hope to achieve by pursuing post secondary education. Applications will be reviewed and recipients will be selected in May of 2019, and scholarship funds will be distributed in August or September of 2019.
