America's Favorite Jarred Beet Brand Wants Consumers To Take A Chance And Enter An Original Recipe Using Its Popular Diced Beets
CHICAGO, June 20, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- It's always a safe bet to serve up a dish with beets, no matter if it's morning, noon, or night. Which is why Aunt Nellie's is calling on fans to enter their new, original recipes using diced beets in its "Loaded Dice Recipe Contest." On the line are four prizes of $500, a family pack of products and serious bragging rights with family and friends. Aunt Nellie's is partnering with two-time Food Network Champ MacKenzie Smith of Grilled Cheese Social to feature her take on the competition and to encourage others to participate. In keeping with her signature style, she created the Sweet Heat Pickled Beet Grilled Cheese Sandwich as an example of what to enter into the "Main Dish" category.
"If you want to surprise and delight your taste buds, try adding some diced pickled beets to your grilled cheese recipe. It not only adds a tangy touch, but also steps up the nutrition and visual appeal," said Smith. "Aunt Nellie's Diced Pickled Beets are perfect for so many different dishes throughout the day. It's truly an MVP of the pantry."
Fans are asked to submit their original recipes in one of four categories: breakfast/brunch, side dishes (e.g., dips, apps, sides), main dishes, and desserts. Each recipe can contain no more than 6 ingredients (you know, like the six sides of a die.) Salt, pepper, water, and Aunt Nellie's Diced Pickled Beets don't count. You can enter more than one recipe, but each can only be entered once. One recipe in each of the four categories will be selected as a winner. Qualities the judges will be looking for in the recipes include creativity, flavor and flair, and use of Aunt Nellie's Diced Pickled Beets. The official rules can be found at: https://auntnellies.com/loaded-dice-contest/aunt-nellies-loaded-dice-recipe-contest-rules/
Winners will receive $500 cash, family packs of Aunt Nellie's products and the opportunity for fame and glory during Aunt Nellie's Beet Week in February 2024. Each winning recipe will be professionally videotaped, photographed and prominently featured on Aunt Nellie's website, Instagram, and Facebook.
"Our diced pickled beets have been such a hit with our fans, we decided to offer them in a 16-ounce jar in addition to individual serving cups. Their versatility and classic delicious flavor make them perfect for dishes throughout the day," said Aunt Nellie's Marketing Director Julia Storie. "We love seeing all the ways people have been incorporating them into their meals and snacks. It's just one of the reasons why Aunt Nellie's has been a pantry staple for more than 90 years for good reason, providing generations with convenience and great taste."
