This poster blank was used for several venues in the 1956 Elvis tour. According to Hawley, "In 1956, Elvis returned to his hometown and played two shows at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show. It was a heading year for this 21-year-old rock star enjoying a whirlwind of success. He released his debut album release and performed on national television, including The Ed Sullivan Show. This time the stage was surrounded by the National Guard to prevent young girls from throwing themselves at this teen idol. America was not sure if rock n roll was a fad or here to stay. Hawley continues, "The 22x28 inch boxing style poster was printed on thick cardboard by the Hatch Show Print Company in Nashville, Tennessee.
