SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Avid 1960's poster collector Andrew Hawley, from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for vintage 1956 Elvis Presley Tupelo, Mississippi Hatch Show Print concert posters. This poster blank was used for several venues in the 1956 Elvis tour. According to Hawley, "In 1956, Elvis returned to his hometown and played two shows at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show. It was a heading year for this 21-year-old rock star enjoying a whirlwind of success. He released his debut album release and performed on national television, including The Ed Sullivan Show. This time the stage was surrounded by the National Guard to prevent young girls from throwing themselves at this teen idol. America was not sure if rock n roll was a fad or here to stay. The kids loved the music, and the adults were skeptical. Elvis just rode this storm to each American town he visited on his first big tour in 1956."
Hawley continues, "The 22x28 inch boxing style poster was printed on thick cardboard by the Hatch Show Print Company in Nashville, Tennessee. The artwork features a large photo of Elvis playing his guitar surrounded by his latest smash hit titles. Approximately 100 posters were printed up for each concert."
