SAN FRANCISCO, March 4, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Avid collector Andrew Hawley, from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for original concert posters for the second 1967 The Doors Eagle Auditorium Seattle show. After a year of touring and the release of their debut album Break On Through, the Doors were one of America's top rock bands when they arrived in Seattle for their second show. The concert was held on July 25. According to Hawley, "A famous local graphic artist John Moehring was hired by Choices Blend to create a concert poster for the Doors show. Moehring created three silkscreen versions of this poster. The artwork measures 14 x 22 inches printed on thick cardboard. One version was a simple black and white while another was a rainbow of colors, and the other known color combination was a very dark purple and black. The Doors had created a reputation of pushing the envelope. On the Ed Sullivan Show that September, they were asked to remove the word "higher" when the sang Light My Fire on the TV. They did not so were not invited back." For examples of The Doors concert posters go to http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/psychedelic/the_doors.html
