LOS ANGELES, May 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, Backmate launched a Kickstarter campaign for their eponymous product - a body massager that mounts into any doorway and provides relief at home. It is now available for the early bird price of $99 (MSRP $149).
Backmate uses rotating ball attachments, a commonly used physiotherapy technique, to massage hard-to-reach areas on any part of the body. The adjustable bar fits into any doorway from 24" to 36" wide and can be placed at any height to help target various parts of the body. A rotating bar and massage head allow the user to massage hard-to-reach areas (interchangeable massage attachments available in various sizes and even hot/cold options).
"The idea for Backmate came through my own experience with pain. During my racing career, I suffered several injuries that left me with chronic neck and back pain and headaches," said professional motorcycle racer and co-founder Eric Bostrom. "I tried the traditional route of medication and physiotherapy, but I couldn't get lasting relief. I needed something that will provide immediate onsite relief that didn't cause other discomforts, like bending in awkward positions with a tennis ball."
Through his research, Bostrom found that relief is attainable by combining active recovery, circulatory system stimulation, stretching and strengthening exercises. Backmate relieves pain and headaches by keeping soft tissue healthier, increasing circulation, relaxing the nervous system and strengthening muscles. It represents Bostrom's mission to encourage others to take a proactive approach to pain and immobility.
"It's not just athletes that suffer from chronic pain caused by injuries, especially neck and back pain. It's estimated that 80% of Americans experience it on a daily basis," adds co-founder Dustin Bouch. "When Eric and I came together to work on Backmate, we knew that this was only the beginning of a lifelong mission to help anyone with pain. We want Backmate to help users easily incorporate recovery, stimulation, stretching and strengthening into their lives and realize true pain relief and restore their quality of life."
Backmate's removable end caps allow it to be easily stored and transported. It even fits in a small suitcase for on-the-go pain relief. The quick/lock release and a built-in level allows for easy and fast setup and take down without damaging walls.
The estimated delivery date of Backmate is September 2019. For more information on their rewards and pledges, see Backmate's Kickstarter page. Media wishing to interview their personnel should contact PR agent, Allison Aitken at allison(at)properpropaganda.net
