Baltimore Construction Firm North Point Builders Receives Awards of Excellence in Construction for 3 Projects

BALTIMORE, Nov. 3, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Greater Baltimore Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) recognized North Point Builders with three Excellence in Construction Awards for the following projects:

• Annapolis Post Office, GC Historic Restoration over $10M
• Lawyer's Mall Reconstruction, GC Historic Restoration between $5M-10M
• Bain 50+ Center; GC Renovation between $1M-5M

The Excellence Award is given to projects with the highest scores in each judged category including the project's unique characteristics, quality of craftsmanship, and client satisfaction.

Annapolis Post Office Historic Restoration
The Annapolis Post Office Project was a 25,000 SF renovation to transform the vacant facility into modern offices for the Secretary of State, Governor, and support and administrative staff. An extraordinary amount of historic restoration work was completed to preserve the ornate details of the 100+ year old building. Lawyer's Mall Reconstruction
In the heart of Historic Annapolis and adjacent to the State House and the House and Senate Buildings lies the Lawyer's Mall. Since the mall needed emergency infrastructure work completed below the memorial, a plan was developed to rebuild the entire Lawyer's Mall and presser the historic Thurgood Marshall Memorial. North Point Builders worked with Howard County to modernize the Bain 50+ Center to meet the needs of the community's increasing senior population. 9,000 SF of the facility was remodeled to include new offices, a dance/aerobic room, ADA accessible restrooms, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
