Bejin Bieneman PLC Announces Diversity Scholarship Program
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Bejin Bieneman, PLC, announces its 2019 Scholarships for Diversity in Patent Law, to encourage those in traditionally underrepresented groups to enter the practice of patent law. Scholarships for the 2019-20 school year are offered to law students and undergraduates who attend a Michigan university and who are from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the field of patent law, including women and students of African American, Hispanic, or Native American background. Each scholarship includes a paid internship or clerkship, where the scholarship recipient will learn about the field of patent law.
The Law Student Scholarship for Diversity in Patent Law is offered to J.D. candidates with a technical undergraduate degree. The scholarship will provide a $10,000 law school tuition reimbursement award for the 2019-2020 school year, as well as a paid internship/clerkship with Bejin Bieneman PLC, where the scholarship recipient will learn how to write a patent application and other important aspects of patent law.
The Undergraduate Student Scholarship for Diversity in Patent Law is offered to an undergraduate engineering student with an interest in the legal profession. The scholarship will provide a $2500 tuition reimbursement for the 2019-2020 school year. The award also includes a 25 hour-per-week, ten-week paid internship with Bejin Bieneman PLC, where scholarship recipients will learn about patent law.
