NEW YORK, Dec. 28, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- BIA, a leading national eDiscovery and forensic services provider, announced today that Lee Michael Stein has joined the company as litigation support expert.
"We are so excited to welcome Mike," said Lisa Prowse, BIA's senior vice president of litigation technology and managed review. "I knew five minutes into our first conversation that he'd be a perfect fit at BIA. He's very knowledgeable, but he also enjoys learning new skills and challenging himself to find smart ways to help clients. He's a great addition to the litigation technology experts team, and we're very glad he's joined us."
As litigation support expert, Stein guides BIA's clients and internal teams to find the right technologies and processes for each case. That involves developing workflows for recurring services, supporting BIA staff and clients during the execution of reviews, and troubleshooting. Stein's background in the review process and his deep understanding of various search methods ensure that best practices are followed and deliverables are created in industry-standard formats. His knowledge extends to advanced analytics, where he provides support and instruction for various tools and works with clients to supply the best implementation of conceptual and structural analytics.
"Our field can feel very isolating at times, but there is something special about BIA and the people here," said Stein. "I'm excited to work with the excellent in-house review team and to offer guidance and support in document review technologies and processes. By implementing standard workflows and performing quality checks, we can continue to give clients the top-level service for which BIA is known."
Prior to joining BIA, Stein was a project manager of client services for Epiq Legal Services, providing litigation support and quality control to clients. In his previous work with Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, he worked in technical litigation support and was the primary analyst for multiple merger cases and discovery procedures involving U.S. government agencies. He received his bachelor's degree in government studies and his master's in public administration from The City University of New York.
