SEQanswers was founded in 2007 by Eric Olivares who was then using NGS tools in his research. "I wanted to find a way to bring the people who were using this exciting technology together," says Olivares, now the Chief Scientific Officer of Invitae, "At that time it felt like there wasn't a place where someone could go to ask questions and get answers about issues impacting the NGS community; I founded SEQanswers to be that place." Olivares will remain closely involved with SEQanswers during the transition of ownership and will continue on as an advisor afterwards.
SEQanswers is a natural addition to Biocompare's portfolio of products servicing NGS users.
