Avid Collector From Vintage Rock Posters Announces His Search For Original 1965 Rolling Stones Greensboro Coliseum Concert Posters.
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) April 26, 2015 -- Avid Collector Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters announces his search for original 1965 Rolling Stones Greensboro Coliseum concert posters. The concert was held on 12 November, 1965 and was part of the Stone's Second American Tour.
According to Hawley, “The poster was printed by Globe Poster Company out of Baltimore, Maryland. This poster blank was used to advertise the Stones shows in the northeast and southern cites. Globe uses garish lettering and colors on this boxing style poster. In the margins, the latest hot Stones song titles are listed. The posters were placed in retail shops located in Raleigh, Charlotte, Nashville, Knoxville, New Haven, and Ft. Worth to advertise the upcoming Stones concert. This poster measured 22 x 23 inches. About 50-100 copies of the Stones concert poster were printed for each venue played. The number of posters printed depended on the size of the city. The Globe poster layout was much larger than 1964 Stones concert poster blank printed by the Murray Poster Company of New York City a year earlier.”
