These include Bend and Southern Oregon; Whitefish and Big Sky, Montana; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Hawaii Island; Tyler, Texas; and Whistler and Okanagan, British Columbia in Canada.
Here & Now Media Group plans to launch Build Magazines in four additional western U.S. resort locations in 2019 – Park City, Sun Valley, Palm Springs, San Diego – along with Naples, Florida for a total of 15 publications.
The company published its first Build Magazine in Bend, Oregon in 2016 to provide both current and prospective homeowners a comprehensive resource for finding the best of builders, trades and craftspeople, and building suppliers in their communities. The four-color, oversized 10- x 12-inch magazines are typically between 120 – 180 pages and a mix of high-quality photos, advertising and editorials. Each Build Magazine is published annually, with a standard circulation of 15,000 copies.
Ted Bainbridge, Here & Now Group owner and publisher, said the company has targeted its locations, such as Santa Fe, because they are high end, often second or luxury home markets, and have recognizable brands. The locations tend to be very scenic, with mountains, ocean, rivers or lakes and winter and summer recreation such as skiing and golf. They also have strong, high-quality building and trade communities that needed local media in which to showcase their work and provide a networking platform for B2B clients, while also being attractive for national brands.
