PHOENIX, June 04, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CEA Study Abroad has unveiled a major expansion of their program destination portfolio for 2019, with the addition of two new internship cities and one new study abroad city.
Our newest study abroad destination is Budapest, Hungary, and thanks to our partner, Corvinus University of Budapest, we'll be offering a Business & Economics program and a Social Sciences program there. Hungarian language proficiency is not a requirement for students who want to study in Budapest, as all courses at CUB are taught in English. Our Budapest programs are offered during the fall and spring semesters, beginning with the spring of 2020.
"We are excited to launch CEA study programs in Budapest, Hungary," said Caroline Walsh, Senior Vice President of Program Development. "We've seen growing interest in Central Europe, an increase in Business students studying abroad, and a continued push for affordable options in Europe overall. We believe our new programming options in Hungary will meet all of these needs."
CEA is also excited to make internships abroad possible in Milan, Italy and Sydney, Australia beginning in the summer of 2020. These two cities represent our commitment to expanding our international presence as the leading internships abroad provider in the U.S., giving more students the opportunity to find the perfect internship in their target career field. With our internship program already available in Rome and Florence, CEA feels confident about taking internships to Milan. As for Sydney, this highly popular study abroad destination is an ideal addition to CEA's internship program portfolio, with an abundance of potential placements across many career fields and an English-speaking culture.
"Expanding our internship program represents exciting progress for CEA," said Cynthia Engel, Director of Internships Abroad. "It creates an opportunity for students to explore an entirely new continent while building vital professional competencies in Sydney, and our new program in Milan provides students a chance to deep dive into one of the most dynamic and modern cities in Europe. Both of these destination launches have evolved in response to our students and universities asking for experiences in these locations."
CEA continues to prioritize our students' quality of education and life abroad, along with the internationalization goals of our U.S. university partners, and these priorities inform and motivate our program development decisions every step of the way. Making study and internship abroad possible in Budapest, Milan, and Sydney is the latest demonstration of CEA's attention to student and university goals.
