During the holiday season, CenterLight PACE brings festive cheer to its participants with activities, resources and celebrations to ensure that seniors feel connected.
NEW YORK, Dec. 16, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CenterLight Healthcare's Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) recently launched this year's farmer's market events, which marked the beginning of a series of holiday-focused events for its participants.
CenterLight PACE helps qualified older adults continue living safely at home and in their communities while receiving comprehensive care. The Thanksgiving farmer's markets were for participants who wanted to enjoy the holiday at home with fresh fruits, vegetables, and other locally sourced goods. The market is sponsored by the Friends of CenterLight Foundation.
For participants who may not have had family to share the holiday with or preferred not to cook at home, CenterLight's Wallerstein PACE Center in the Bronx hosted a traditional Thanksgiving lunch, serving participants from a number of CenterLight's PACE sites across New York. During this event, CenterLight staff volunteered their time on Thanksgiving Day to serve the meals, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
The festivities continue, with holiday and new year celebrations planned at all CenterLight PACE sites. These celebrations are always filled with cheer, and participants enjoy festive meals, mingle with their friends, and participate in holiday craft activities.
