Author hopes every young reader or their guardian can get access to this book
LANCASTER, Calif., Aug. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In "I Love Being a Kid," by R. Hughes, readers are presented with a collection of poems and brightly colored illustrations created just for youngsters. A longtime early childcare provider, Hughes used her experience to craft situations that would be relatable to children, in hopes they will have a positive effect. The book consists of 20 short scenarios created for kids, in reaction to COVID. The pandemic was a difficult time for children, and Hughes wanted them to know that someone was thinking of the simplicity of just being a kid and cared enough to write about them.
"Some of my greatest joys are watching children laugh and helping them grow in a safe, healthy, loving and nurturing environment," said Hughes. "I hope this book will help to increase a child's awareness that a fun-filled, wholesome book can also be a meaningful experience."
"I Love Being a Kid" explores kids interacting with each other and their surroundings, at and away from home.
"It represents a world without all the electronics, techie stuff, pressures, bullies, expectations, perfections, rush hour, competitions, complications, changes, and disappointments," said Hughes. "Just having fun and expressing it with a smile and laughter. Hopefully this book reminds everyone that kids have a positive impact in the world because a smile is still contagious, and laughter does the heart good."
Hughes plans to donate partial proceeds from the book to help support children's charities and non-profit organizations around the globe.
