North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival Returns To Cary This Holiday Season
CARY, N.C. (PRWEB) September 29, 2017 -- For a third consecutive year, Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre will be transformed into the most magnificent setting in the state when the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival unveils all new displays this holiday season. Tickets are now on sale for the seven-week event, which runs from November 24, 2017 through January 14, 2018.
The Festival will include more than 20 new displays, each comprised of hundreds of parts and thousands of LED lights. In what proved to be a fan favorite last year, the spectacular Chinese Dragon on Symphony Lake will return to mesmerize visitors. Each larger-than-life lantern will once again wow visitors with their amazing craftsmanship, cultural significance and artistic beauty. The addition of cultural performances and artisan crafts last season will be expanded this year.
"The success of this event continues to grow by leaps and bounds," said Doug McRainey, Town of Cary’s Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources. "The number of visitors last year topped 90,000 guests. Because of this outpouring of support, the Town of Cary and Booth Amphitheatre are thrilled to announce the return of this spectacular festival to North Carolina for four more years. With this agreement in place, we can focus on growing yet another holiday family tradition in Cary with this beautiful event for years to come."
The North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival is produced by Tianyu Arts & Culture, Inc., in cooperation with the Town of Cary.
