The Chronicles of Piye Graphic Novel Is Coming Soon
Toronto and Nashville (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- The creative team behind the indie comic series Chronicles of Piye, Richard Gaskin and Chris Miller, are in the final stages of completing the graphic novel followup to the 4 Chapter series of Volume 1 of Chronicles of Piye. It's due to be released somewhere between late July and early August 2013 and will feature all 4 chapters of the comic series as well as additional scenes, maps, character outlines and more.
The well-received comic series has amassed over 120,000 fans on its Facebook Fan Page from North American as well as international comic book fans. Chronicles of Piye has been featured in an article on Afrofuturism by journalist, Hannah Ohm Cleaver for Denmark-based Atlas Magasin a Danish language cultural art magazine. The afrofuturism article is due to be published in Atlas Mag's August 2013 print issue.
Gaskin & Miller were also interviewed on Genesis Science Fiction Radio (run by the Black Science Fiction Society), by science fiction author William Ayashi. They discussed among other things, the creative process, the mechanics of two partners in working in different countries (Toronto, Canada and Nashville, USA), background of Chronicles of Piye and future plans.
Following on the heels of Chronicles of Piye, is a new science fiction comic that is currently in development and tentatively scheduled for release sometime between September to October of this year. This, as yet untitled sci-fi comic, promises to transport readers to the far reaches of the galaxy and beyond.
Also on our agenda is a Chronicles of Piye game for mobile platforms, which may go into development as early as September 2013 pending possible revisions to the project timetable. Plans for an animation trailer, based on positive feedback for its promo videos, have been shelved for the time being. (promotional videos for the comic series can be found on its Youtube Channel. Further updates about a mobile game for Chronicles of Piye, the release of the graphic novel and the new sci-fi comic are expected to be released sometime around July-August 2013.
