New for this year’s Fall Festival, City Floral is hosting a Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, October 18, from 12 PM to 1:30 PM for participants to show off their cooking skills, especially if they grew those ingredients in their own garden. All kinds of chili are welcome (as long as they are homemade and not canned) and City Floral’s customers will act as the judges, with judging taking place at 1:30 PM. The first place winner will receive a $100 City Floral gift card. As space is limited to 12 participants, those interested in submitting their chili in the contest must enter by October 11 by calling the City Floral office at (303) 399-1177.
Throughout the whole weekend, children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes, take photos in the pumpkin patch, and get up close and personal with some amazing barnyard animals from The Urban Farm. The Urban Farm is a non-profit organization that provides agricultural and environmental education to urban children, youth and their families. City Floral is pleased to host The Urban Farm during their Fall Festival, alongside other special vendors Rolling Smoke Barbecue and Farm to Truck food trucks, The Real Dill, and 100th Monkey Mushroom.
