TORONTO, Sept. 3, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Clearco, the world's largest e-commerce investor revolutionizing the way founders grow their businesses, today announced that its industry-leading ClearAngel program is funding BLK + GRN, a marketplace that cultivates a space for black-owned, non-toxic brands to connect with customers. ClearAngel gives early-stage companies access to revenue share capital, data-driven advice, and an extensive network of apps, agencies, and investors powered by Clearco.
Founded in 2018 in Maryland, BLK + GRN is the only marketplace of non-toxic natural products crafted by Black women businesses. Founder Dr. Kristian Henderson is a Public Health professor, graduate of Yale and Johns-Hopkins University, and a yogi dedicated to helping women of color live happy, healthy lives free of toxins and artificial ingredients. Since 2018, BLK + GRN has elevated over 100 Black-owned brands and shipped over 18,500 orders of non-toxic products placed on their marketplace. ClearAngel's funding will help them grow awareness through marketing.
ClearAngel is among just a few equity-free, flexible capital options for early-stage founders who lack the network to raise an angel round or join exclusive accelerators. Since its February 2021 launch, the program has already funded over 350 companies.
ClearAngel is helping BLK + GRN continue to "incubate beautiful, sustainable, and high-quality products from Black women artisans and entrepreneurs," said Kristian, BLK + GRN. "My mission has and always will be to connect Black women to the tools, resources, knowledge, and products they need to lead happier and healthier lives. I believe that a life free of toxins and all things artificial is a life worth cultivating."
In addition to $10,000 of flexible capital, BLK + GRN will also get access to a network of more than 500 investors, growth teams, agencies, apps, lawyers, and buyers; and data-driven advice designed to help scale and hit new revenue milestones.
"We're excited to fund BLK + GRN in its mission to incubate sustainable and high-quality products from Black women artisans and entrepreneurs," said Andrew D'Souza, CEO and co-founder, Clearco. "For BLK + GRN, this ClearAngel investment will provide a headstart on marketing and branding.
