Bestselling college consulting program expands into high-demand markets in, Westchester, Palo Alto, Miami, & Greenwich
NEW YORK, May 31, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Command Education, a leading education and college admissions firm with a unique, emotionally intelligent approach to college consulting, today announced an expansion of their bestselling College Application Booster Camp program into new priority markets. The expansion comes on the heels of rising demand for mentorship during the college application process, due in part to the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The newly-announced College Application Booster Camps will be held this August, on the following dates:
- Greenwich, CT: August 8-12, 2022
- Miami, FL: August 8-12, 2022
- Westchester, NY: August 15-19, 2022
- Palo Alto, CA: August 15-19, 2022
The camps—which have sold out every summer over the past five years and encourage pre-registration for the limited available spots—are tailored to help the rising Class of 2023 high school seniors takes a proactive approach to their college applications. Over the course of five days, participating students will work alongside Command Education's counselors to devise an application strategy formulated to not only help them stand out in an ever-increasing sea of applicants but to navigate the school-specific intricacies of the college application process.
Command Education's interpersonal, one-on-one approach allows students to complete quality work, aided by in-depth mentoring from graduates of Ivy League and top-tier universities. Ahead of each camp session, students are matched with mentors—based on their unique interests, experiences, and college goals—on establishing a list of target schools. Each student's mentor also works with them to develop a roadmap to ensure they remain motivated and on track during the week.
"The unfortunate truth is that admissions officers only have a few minutes to initially evaluate each application they receive," said Christopher Rim, Founder, and CEO of Command Education. "Applicants need to capture their attention—and be memorable—from the outset. That's why our goal is to help each student curate their genuine interests and empower them to combine their existing passions with an experienced, supportive approach that motivates them to see education as a path to realizing their potential. It's about helping them present themselves in the best possible light, not trying to change them to fit a preexisting mold."
During the camp, students begin at 10 am and have scheduled, private meetings with their mentors throughout each day to review current progress, collaboratively brainstorm on essay drafting, and review each component of the Common Application. Beyond completion of the Common Application Personal Statement, students continue working with mentors on supplemental essays, interview preparation, and optimized presentation of extracurricular activities and notable achievements.
"One of the most valuable outcomes of the College Application Booster Camp is that students are able to make incredible progress while simultaneously identifying and talking through the many complicated emotions that are part of the college admissions process," added Wafa Muflahi, Partner and Senior Program Director at Command Education. "They're able to find pride in their work, prevent unnecessary stress during their final year of high school and approach college as emotionally intelligent, self-possessed young adults."
In 2021, 100% of students who applied to Harvard Early Action with the help of Command Education were accepted, and over 9 out of 10 students were admitted to at least one of their top three school choices.
