Raquel "Rocky" McCormick Becomes Organization's First Hispanic Executive Director
TAVARES, Fla., Feb. 28, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Cornerstone Hospice Foundation announced the appointment of Raquel "Rocky" McCormick as the organization's new executive director. She previously served as philanthropy director after joining the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation in 2021.
In more than 31 years of experience in the human services sector, McCormick has served as vice president of corporate donor engagement at Heart of Florida United Way, leading fundraising campaigns that provided $14 million in support for education, health and financial needs of families in central Florida. Prior to the Heart of Florida United Way, she worked in Chicago as community development director for Metropolitan Family Services for 24 years. The organization worked alongside many not-for-profit groups focusing on the expansion of school-based community centers and increased access to health services.
