TAMPA, Fla., June 9, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- According to a recently released study by Coresight Research which was sponsored by GiftNow, corporate gifting went from routine to being a priority during the COVID shutdown. Their study reported that the corporate gifting market will reach $242 billion in 2022 and continue to grow at an unprecedented pace of about an 8.1% Compound Annual Growth Rate in 2023. Further, they found that 60 percent of corporate gifts are for clients and partners outside the organization while 40 percent where for internal employee recognition and awards.
But not only has the frequency and importance of branded corporate gift giving increased, the types of gifts companies are choosing is transforming as well. Companies are looking for unique, personal, interactive gifts that they can align with their own brands to create that sense of connection so many of us missed during the pandemic. Two Tampa Bay area companies are embracing this new gift-giving mindset, one from the corporate side and the other as a gift box creator.
Honesty Howard, a Realtor® and Sales Associate with Brandon-based Carter Company Realtors, had to not only reinvent their gift-giving, but also their new business focus as the market reacted to the pandemic. Pre-COVID, approximately 80 percent of their business was through foreclosures, which came to a screeching halt in March of 2020. That led this boutique Realty to refocus on resales and unique ways to get more buyer referrals. Time was, they would give a client a dining gift card to use on moving day, but it didn't feel like the right fit with the pandemic sweeping the state.
"Gift cards can be so impersonal," said Howard. "We used to give gifts based on providing a little peace on moving day, but that didn't have nearly the impact we were looking for."
Howard and Carter Company Realtors founders Jeff and Trish Carter hit upon a local company that provided something more than just convenience. They turned to Tampa-based Roasted Whisk to custom curate boxes filled with small batch roasted gourmet coffees and espresso-infused, house-made treats to thank their clients for their business. The Carter Company Realtors branded gift boxes were not only unexpected, but totally unique from anything most Realtors are giving out. It was an emerging trend not lost on Roasted Whisk's founder Lizette Rivera.
Three generations of Latina women came together to find a way to stay together in the newly distanced times during the pandemic. Rivera, daughter Sami and her Mom Rose Rivera found the perfect way to bond and create, by infusing delicious baked goods with espresso and drinking rich, decadent coffee like they had done in Lizette's childhood home --a Cuban tradition.
It was just the therapy they all needed during a difficult time. Sami was poised to graduate high school as the Valedictorian of her class before COVID forced her Senior year of studies (and social events) online. Rose, who has dementia, found Lizette's home to be a safe house where she could begin her visit with hugs and a luscious cookie or brownie and a steamy cup of java.
Then Rose started asking Lizette for boxes of baked goods that she could share with her friends. These boxes always elicited more smiles and a bright spot in an otherwise dark time for many of Rose's elderly friends and neighbors. That's when the light bulb went off, and the trio realized they were onto something. They blended their passion for coffee, their artfully crafted baked goods, and a desire to spread moments of bliss into what is now Roasted Whisk--a gift box company with a wide variety of boxes that fit virtually any celebration. Their branded corporate gifts are quickly becoming as popular as their Cafe Cubano, espresso-infused brownie bites, and snickerdoodles. There's even a gift box for four-legged canine recipients called the Pup & Pal Box.
Some of the boxes now available at RoastedWhisk.com include the Hug In A Mug Box, Cup of Joe Box, Friends & Lover's Box, Coffee Is My Self Care Box, and the Calming Box. The customized, branded Carter Company Realtors box contains two Cafe Cubano k-cups, a jar of whisky espresso popcorn, thank you card, coaster, and Carter Company Realtors mug. According to Howard, it's a small gesture that goes a long way.
"We thought, what could be more memorable than a great cup of coffee and a decadent treat in your new home? So far, our clients have loved receiving them," said Howard.
"Businesses run on relationships," said Rivera. "We've found that few things create a tighter bond than an amazing cup of coffee, whether it's enjoyed with or without the giver. That's what led to what is now a growing Tampa-based gift box company, Roasted Whisk."
