Dogeared Launches the Dogeared Archive/s Collection, a Re-Purposed, Re-Imagined Line of Jewelry
In keeping with their brand fabric of connection, compassion, and respect for the world, the inspirational brand has collected 30 years of materials from their studio to produce a limited line of "buy-once, wear-forever, infused-with-love" jewelry
LOS ANGELES, May 18, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dogeared, the iconic originators of word and Make a Wish jewelry that is known for their relaxed California aesthetic, has announced the launch of the Dogeared Archive/s collection. The almost zero new impact line features materials, particularly gems and pearls, that they pulled together from almost 30 years of creating and collecting.
"Dogeared has always been about mindful connections through our messaging and our jewels," said Dogeared founder and designer, Marcia Maizel-Clarke. "It was fitting that after 30 years, I gather up the treasure trove of beads and gems that we had in our studio and return to my kitchen table. With my daughter and sample maker we began to make new designs with these incredible finds! Being almost zero new impact was one of the most exciting parts of this project. Some of the jewels we are using are from our original Healing Gems line, which feels right as the world works to heal and we love doing our part. Designing to the materials to create a true limited-edition collection was something we had not done in a long time. Coming full circle and returning to our roots and doing it with my daughter has been the most fun and beautiful experience."
The initial Dogeared Archive/s collection will launch May 21, 2021, exclusively on Dogeared.com. Additional collections will be offered throughout the year, all featuring repurposed and reimagined designs crafted from the jewels, gems, chains, and objects that have collected in the studio over the past three decades of creating jewelry with meaning. Handmade, each style is limited, containing between three and 25 pieces each. Many are reminiscent of the brand's original styles, including gemstone bracelets and necklaces, sometime mixed with pearls, and hoop earrings with dangling pearls. All will be presented with a custom Dogeared/Archive(s) printed card that included the message:
"For us, it is about more than jewelry. We are redefining success in business to drive social, environmental, and economic benefits to our team and community. We make good things happen."
